Ruth Langsford’s Powerful Message: Analyzing Her Song Choice Amid Divorce Drama with Eamonn Holmes

Ruth Langsford has been left “hurt” by Eamonn Holmes’ “on-stage dig” amid divorce.

The former This Morning hosts announced their split after 14 years of marriage last month.

The TV couple “are in the process of divorcing”, stating that work “took their marriage in different directions.”

The GB News star appeared to send a message to his estranged wife at Tuesday’s TRIC Awards.

Eamonn alluded to a crowd of their mutual friends and colleagues that he had been stabbed in the back.

A source has told the MailOnline that “Ruth took Eamonn’s words as a dig at her.

She found it unfair and hurtful,” adding that “friends are worried this is going to get very nasty.”

Accepting the award for best breakfast show at the industry event, Eamonn told the audience: “So I got two things in my back that I didn’t want,” seemingly referring to both his recent operation and Ruth.

He said: “I think sometimes we [GB News presenters] all have imposter syndrome, why is, that sort of thing.”

“I went for an operation a year and a half ago and it went wrong. So I got two things in my back that I didn’t want, so why not, I’ll happily accept this.”

Earlier this month, Ruth appeared to also “take a swipe” at Eamonn when she posted what seemed to be an aimed Instagram story.

Although the TV presenter did not comment on the claims, she did post a video of herself walking their dog Maggie – who is at the centre of their custody battle.

The post was simply captioned “Maggie. Happy Sunday,” and the song Pretty Girls Walk by Big Boss Vette – which details moving on from an ex, played in the background.

In the song, which was viral on TikTok in early 2023, the lyrics reference moving on from hearsay.

It opens with the lines: “No matter what the f**k these h**s talkin’ ’bout / Just know you a bad b***h.”

The song also refers to moving on with a new partner, with the lyrics: “Sh***in’ on my ex (f**k him), on to the next (on God).”

Ruth Langsford has been left feeling hurt by recent comments made by Eamonn Holmes during the TRIC Awards. The former couple announced their divorce last month after 14 years of marriage, citing work-related reasons for their split.

During the award ceremony, Eamonn appeared to make a thinly veiled dig at Ruth, which she reportedly found unfair and hurtful. Friends close to the couple are concerned that the situation may escalate and become more contentious.

On the other hand, Ruth seemed to respond to the situation on social media by posting a video of herself with their dog Maggie, accompanied by a song that hints at moving on from a past relationship. The lyrics of the song suggest a sense of empowerment and independence.

It is clear that tensions between Ruth and Eamonn are still running high, and their public interactions continue to be scrutinized by fans and media alike. As the situation unfolds, it will be interesting to see how the former couple navigates their divorce and moves forward with their lives.
