The lovers tied the knot in 2022 after first falling in love in the early 2000s.
They first got engaged in 2002 but ended it two years later. Almost 20 years later, they fell back in love and had two weddings: a small one in Las Vegas and a larger celebration at Affleck’s estate.

They tied the knot at A Little White Wedding Chapel on Saturday, July 16, 2022, with two witnesses: Lopez’s 14-year-old daughter, Emme, and one of Affleck’s three kids.
A month after the quick wedding in Las Vegas, the couple had another wedding for family and friends at Affleck’s home in Georgia. Affleck’s buddy, Kevin Smith, attended the event and discussed how Affleck’s “big speech” was “breathtaking.”
“And it was long,” Smith told People. “That’s one of my favorite things about Ben; he’s his own biggest fan, so he wrote, like, a 12-page speech. I was like, ‘Keep talking, keep talking.’”
Lopez wrote about the Georgia wedding in her newsletter to fans. In the newsletter, she described her favorite line that Affleck used in a film and also in his wedding vows.
“‘This is heaven. Right Here. We’re in it now.’ That is one of my favorite lines that Ben wrote from a movie he directed called Live By Night. He also said it the night of our wedding reception in his speech, and I thought … how perfect,” she explained.

Ryan Wolfe, the lead pastor at Grace Christian Center of Las Vegas, told People that he was closing for the night when Lopez and Affleck entered. He didn’t realize they were a famous couple at first.
When it came to the wedding, Affleck and Lopez didn’t want anything fancy.
“She walked down the aisle to the regular ‘Here Comes the Bride’ processional, and she had flowers and he had a boutonnière on,” Wolfe explained. ” … Their kids took pictures during the wedding, and then I set up Ben’s phone there in the chapel, and they videoed the ceremony. There was no professional photographer.”
The couple had speeches prepared, and they shared their loving words.
“They had their own words, and they were beautiful words to each other,” Wolfe said. “It was an emotional moment they shared with one another. You can definitely see the love that they have for each other.”
