Loose Women star Coleen Nolan took a swipe at one of the show’s producers during Monday’s episode after they made a cheeky comment about her appearance
During Monday’s instalment of ITV’s Loose Women, the panel chatted about the changes a woman’s body goes through when she approaches menopause, including enlarged breasts.
Charlene White referred to this phenomenon as “menopause boobs” and the host questioned whether ageing inevitably brings changes to the body.
Coleen Nolan, one of the panellists, shared her personal journey of having larger breasts, jesting that her menopause must’ve commenced when she was just 12.
She shared the challenging times she faced dealing with larger breasts from an early teenager and said she was the youngest among her friends to have had to wear a bra.
She confessed that she was “always quite self-conscious of them” and still struggles while stepping out in a low-cut or thin-strapped evening gown.
Things took a turn on the show when an old photograph of Coleen surfaced on screen. In contrast to how viewers usually perceive her, the throwback image presented her in a blue off-the-shoulder dress and light brown hair, reports the Mirror.
Stunned by her own wide-ranging transformation, she exclaimed: “God almighty, look at the state of me! You could’ve found a better picture!”
One of the producers then spoke into her earpiece and revealing the comment made to the audience, she said: “He’s just said, ‘We couldn’t’ (referring to the photo). Cheeky.”
While the playful banter escalated and Charlene joined in with laughter along with the audience, Coleen ingeniously took a swipe back at the remark tossed her way.
She cheekily retorted: “That’s a funny way of handing in your notice, anyway.”
Her tongue-in-cheek comeback certainly didn’t stay below radar as the audience burst into applause appreciating Coleen’s light-hearted take on the situation.
Not stopping there, she continued with her entertaining remarks by stating: “The good thing is, when you’ve got big boobs it hurts your back and I can do this.
Continuing to play up to the joke, the ITV star mimicked lifting up her bosom and resting them onto the desk, much to the amusement of those present. She concluded, “So in the break, I just lift them up here, for a little break.”
